About Dusty Aleman

Joe "Dusty" Aleman was born and raised in Smiley, Texas, a small south central town in Texas. While growing up, Joe as his family called him, listened to country music and started singing at school and other functions. When he was a young adult he began to sing in bars and dances. Joe and his brothers rode in rodeos. He received the nickname "Dusty" from riding bulls.

In 1984, Dusty met his wife and they were married in July, 1985. They have three children and two grandchildren. Dusty was a contract welder by trade. For eight years until the end of 2009 he had worked in Pennsylvania.

August, 1989, Dusty found Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Country music was always his favorite style of music and once he found Christ, he needed to sing about his new love in Christ. He heard country gospel music on the radio and soon knew he could sing this type of music. The combination of the style of country and the message of the gospel gave Dusty the vehicle he needed to share his love for Christ. With his country style he is able to minister through song to those who love country music. With his warm and friendly personality, he is able to reach even those who prefer some other musical style.

Dusty had wanted to record an album for a long time and was able to do so in 2002. His first project was "Singing For Jesus". Since then he has recorded four more projects. Dusty belongs to the Pennsylvania Southern Gospel Music Association and Country Gospel Music Association. In 2007, Dusty was voted by the Country Gospel Music Association as the International Male Vocalist. In 2009 and 2010, Dusty received the honor of International Male Vocalist. Other awards he has received are yodeler and bilingual artist. Dusty enjoys helping with Toys For Tots and sings at Ride For Sight for the Lions Clubs.

June, 2009, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, Dusty received a message from the Lord telling him He wanted him to step out in faith and work for Him full time. The Lord wanted Dusty to minister in word and song for Him doing what Dusty likes to do best. At the end of 2009, Dusty and his wife quit their secular jobs and are working for the Lord.

Dusty is available to sing and minister at different churches and events giving his testimony and talking about his Lord Jesus Christ.
